(More customer reviews)I was looking for some pickups to make an inexpensive bass sound as good as it could, and certainly achieved just that with this purchase.Installation was a breeze (just remember to strip the foam spacers from your existing pickups and use them with the new ones).The wiring setup was easy and allowed for a few different configurations.
These pickups provide a buzz-free, even and crispy sound at one tonal range, and an equally balanced, rounded sound at the other end of the tonal range.These have a crispier sound than Bartolinis, I certainly prefer the EMGs, and I'm glad I went with them.The Bartolinis don't come with a quick-connect setup like the EMGs do.
They also are very handsome.Combined with a new set of strings, one can make any P/J bass look and sound many times better.
