(More customer reviews)Well, EHX are known for making high quality effects, they are so good that my pedalboard already carries the Big Muff PI and The Mole, both great pedals indeed.
The EHX Steel Leather Bass Expander sure does it work, the thing is, I don't find a real use for it. Don't get me wrong if you are looking for a pedal that increases your attack on the strings this little thing will do it. Now it does it to damm well it kills your playing. Let me explain, I pluck (fingerstyle) and when I stomp this beast the effect it's so overwhelming that instead of helping my attack it just increase it so much that it's a mess. The effect won't do much on lower settings, almost invisible....so you don't ge any attack increase, meaning, you have to increase the settings and all of the sudden all your tone it's sucked into oblivion....
