(More customer reviews)These strings provide the tone, clarity, and response a bassist is looking for to satisfy the music/style you are wanting to achieve.They 'ring' really well, nice sustain, no observable dead 'zones' or spots.Have only had them a month with approximately 10 hours of playing time.Tone and response (with great harmonic overtones) still very good, however the tension (load) they put on my Peavey Cirrus bass (tuning to A=440) is greater due to larger dia. D and G strings than I'm used to , therefore the neck bow increased.I didn't really want to fuss with adjusting the neck bow so I opted to remove these strings and use them on my Kramer Stagemaster bass (vintage 1980 aluminum neck, extremely stiff and stable) and revert to using Peavey strings, which don't have quite the brightness or overtone clarity but don't distort the neck beyond what I prefer for setup and action.
