(More customer reviews)I ordered these strings a few weeks ago, and they got here in a timely manner, nothing quick. I strung them on my bass as soon as they came, and they look great. However, there is a minute difference in the shade of red in the G and D strings, as opposed to the A and E strings. Minute, but somewhat noticable. They do play great, but the coating wears rather fast. I run under the motto "Picks are for D***s, (meaning I don't use a picks to play.) I haven't used one on it yet, but I let my bandmate play on it for about 5 minutes with a pick, and there is already a show of wear and the silver of the string underneath is starting to reveal itself around the pickup area. I do trust the life of the string as advertised. The only thing that wears is the color. Come back in about a year, and I bet I'll be still poppin' on these strings.
I expect the color not to last long, which is a disappointment, because I bought them under the impression that they would have a durable coating. As for now, they blend well with my red bodied Dean bass, and I'm happy. For all of you, I'd say go ahead and try them. They are in the medium pricing range and worth the next couple of months of color and year of durabilty.
