(More customer reviews)I use these strings on both an old Gibson EB-2 bass and on a recent Gibson SG bass.They provide more treble, definition, and clarity than flat wound strings provide.Definition and clarity from the strings are particularly important with Gibson basses, especially the EB-2.On a short scale (30.5") bass, the string tension is very comfortable.I used them once on a long scale (34") bass with no problems as well.The strings are relatively inexpensive, especially in this two-pack.For me one set of strings will only last about two months, though, before at least one string goes dead (usually the E string).That is based on playing a weekly gig, two weekly rehearsals, and a couple hours per week of practice at home.
