(More customer reviews)I have several Midi cables that I have ordered for my music equipment. Most of them are not always pinned completely as you only need three pins to use midi. Unfortunately for me my use for the cable is not in the midi capacity. I use the cable to connect two devices, a Digitech Valve FX and a Digitech Control One continuous controller. They are connected by a "standard Midi" as if that were really true, all five pin MIDI cables have 5 pins, some are wired with only the inside pins, others fully wired to all pins. This cable will take care of all your needs and provide you with the peace of mind that the "Standard" implies.

BOSS Fender Bassman '59 Modeling Pedal FBM-1 Review

(More customer reviews)Just to add another opinion - I've been playing blues and rock 53 years. I first bought the FDR-1 pedal to add reverb/trem to a Fuchs 6v6 tube amp, and then bought the FBM-1 to add some tone to a Fender Blues Jr. which has onboard reverb. The FBM-1 made the sound fuller, rounder, with a sweeter tone, as the Fender has brighter EL84 tubes. It will overdrive the power tubes at lower volumes, giving clear, concise notes and full tones at comfortable ear levels. If one can both afford and carry around a Fender Twin or a Bassman (50-65 lbs)$1300, no pedal is needed. This way one can buy a Fender Pro Jr. (20 lbs) $375 orBlues Jr. (30 lbs) $475 and the FBM-1 pedal ($150), and closely emulate that sound for $525-625).

This pedal needs a tube amp IMHO, at least 15W, and at least 10" speaker.

I couldn't do without it having heard it and used it. Fender wouldn't have lent its name and technology to the pedal if it wasn't good. It's not really for super high gain metal players, nor is the Bassman amp. Jazz, blues, soft rock, R&B, Motown, etc. is best.

(More customer reviews)You'd think mxr would make a phaser as good as its namesake ... sorry.Obvioulsy, when they sold out to Dunlop, something didn't go right ....THIS phase 90 is a very aggressive 4 stage phaser that adds heaps of distortion.If that's what you're going for, then sure go ahead buy it.But if you're looking for creamy sweeps look elsewhere, perhaps the script logo version, or a small stone, or even the BBE Soul Vibe, but this is a phase 90 in name only.I give it two stars because someone may want this kind of sound.

Korg AW-1 Compact Clip-On Chromatic String and Wind Tuner Review

(More customer reviews)I think the other reviewers went way overboard in their crucifixion of this tuner.Yes, I admit the lack of the backlight is a little bothersome from time to time.However, this is overall a great tuner.I play bluegrass fiddle and this is the most convenient tuner EVER to attach to your fiddle.I use this tuner in jam sessions because when you are playing outside in South Georgia, the environment wreaks havoc on your intonation.

As you can imagine, many times these situations are poorly lit at best and I have had no trouble using this tuner.Once again, a backlight would be great, but even under very dim lighting, I have been able to read it.

I like it.It's small enough to fit in my case or my pocket.It's very accurate and easy to use.When clipped to my fiddle, it is not affected by the other instrument noise at all. I can be sitting next to a banjo picker on one side and a stand up bass on the other and still tune-up without any problem.Once agian, the best part is that it is so easy to attach to my fiddle--the best one yet as far as I'm concerned, and I own several tuners.

I discovered this tuner because we stopped by a music store to try out guitars (my husband is a collector/picker).The sales people were using this tuner.I had never seen one, so I asked about it.They said it was the easiest to move from instrument to instrument, always accurate and very compact.And they had an entire case of tuners and out of all of them, they chose to use this one.I tried it out and bought it on the spot.

So don't be so quick to dismiss this tuner.I have one and I love it.Wouldn't think of returning it.In fact, I'm about to buy a second one as a gift for the guy who works on all my fiddles.

(More customer reviews)While I couldn't recommend this product for someone wanting to do professional recoding, I am, overall, very pleased with it.I have a cheap mic, and this preamp dramatically improved the sound, and reduced backgroud hum.I really like the seperate imput and output controls, and the ability to run either 1/4 or XLR inputs is nice.It does lack some of the features that I have seen on more expensive models, and most of the tech is solid state.But again, for the price it is a nice little addition to your home studio.
If you are a beginner that just wants to play around with music recording/production, this is a simple to use product that will work great.
